Dr. Zelaya is a board certified internal Medicine specialist with a subspecialty in Nephrology. After graduating from medical school in 2006 from the Universidad Americana of Nicaragua, she embarked on a three-year Internal Medicine program at Jackson Memorial Hospital located in Miami, Florida. Upon completing the program, Dr. Zelaya remained at Jackson Memorial Hospital and secured a fellowship in Clinical Nephrology and Hypertension. She concluded her intensive, comprehensive training two years later and relocated to Central Florida in 2015.
Over the course of her training and subsequent practice, she has been able to provide care for
complicated, reversible and irreversible medical conditions.Â
Dr. Zelaya is committed to being at the forefront of the medical community and recently graduated from the Florida Medical Association Leadership Academy. She remains passionate in her calling to improve the well-being and quality of life of all her patients.
